Leaf-Peeping in New York

Leaf-Peeping in New York

The morning air has a new-found but familiar crispness to it. That can only mean one thing: fall is here! The leaves are changing from green to shades of yellow, orange, and red. Some people live for fall, while others never want summer to end. Whether you love fall or want it to be summer year-round, there is one thing most of us can agree on: the trees look beautiful this time of year.

Best Places to Go Leaf-Peeping

Leaf-peeping is one of the easiest and most fun ways to admire the changing seasons! With the trees changing, it's incredible how quickly they turn from a vibrant green to flaming red. Since Marie Originals is located in the Hudson Valley in New York state, we'd like to say we know a thing or two about leaf-peeping. The Hudson Valley is known for being especially beautiful during the fall, and we wanted to share some of our favorite leaf-peeping locations with you!

Harriman State Park

Harriman State Park is a wonderful place to go year-round, but it is gorgeous in the fall. Harriman State Park has some of the best views in the Hudson Valley, and it is one of our favorite places to go hiking and check out the stunning views.

Warwick, NY

Warwick, NY, is a picturesque town known for its apples, restaurants, and hiking trails. Enjoy a day of apple picking or hiking in one of the many orchards or hiking trails. The whole town is a great place to enjoy leaf-peeping, but if you want an incredibly cool view, head to Bellvale Farms Creamery, get some world-class ice cream (seriously, they have been rated one of the top creameries in the country), and enjoy the beautiful views.

Bear Mountain

Bear Mountain is home to some fun trails and bears. In addition to having some great hiking trails, it also has a merry-go-round, an inn with a restaurant, biking and cross-country ski trails, ice-skating rink, a swimming pool, and a play area. Plus, it has some fantastic views to check out the changing leaves! It's a place where one can spend a whole day and not get bored.

Nyack Beach State Park

Nyack Beach State Park is a state park nestled in the charming town of Nyack, NY. There are some great restaurants, bars, and hiking trails around Nyack. To do some leaf-peeping, go to Nyack Beach State Park to check out the changing leaves.
